What's the plan?

40 intact ‘goodish’ Classic cars (age and model regardless)meet at  ‘The Childrens Sunshine Home, Dublin at 9am 16th September and depart at 10am.These will be followed by supporting modern reliable jap and german cars with a car trailer, luggage and spares to keep the weight off the rusty leaf springs!!
On the way we will stop off at Clonmel and collect money in buckets. The profile of the run will have some local newspaper/ local radio coverage in each county. Other car clubs along the way will collect for us and join in sections of the run along the route. Estimated travel time is 8 hours per day.
We should arrive in Cobh by sun down, stay the night and make the necessary repairs!

The journey continues the following day (Saturday) starting at 10am travelling with more bucket collections at Ennis and a mini car show at Eyre Sq Galway. We will be staying at The Connemara Coast Hotel that evening.
On Sunday we do the same again and travel from Galway stopping at Castlebar and on to Ballshannon and spending the night in the Creevy Hotel
On Monday the survivors journey back to Dublin via Enniskillen Strabane, Omagh and Monaghan
