Update from LauraLynn House

We were delighted to receive some photos from the Children's Sunshine Home showing the fantastic work  on LauraLynn house. It has 8 bedrooms with en-suite accommodation, and comfortable living accommodation just like a large bungalow. Facilities includes a family room, a quiet room, music and playrooms, outdoor water features, a quiet garden.
This children's hospice is all about putting 'Life into a child's day, not days into a child's life'. For parents, it will give that much needed break - often as simple as a decent night's sleep. It will also support healthy siblings, who are very much left out, when a sick child needs 24 hour care.
Thank you for your continued support!

Full to the brim.....

We are delighted to annonce that the run is now full with 62 participants in 40 cars plus 2 support vehicles and trailers (not that we will need them!!)
You can of course still join in on the run but please note that you must make your own accommodation arrangements particularly as the Creevy Hotel Ballyshannon 18th Sept and The Bella Vista Hotel, Cobh 16th Sept are now fully booked. The Connemara Coast, Galway will still take bookings on the 17th Sept.

Another €1899.58 in the bank.

We had a bucket collection on Saturday 14th May for The Sunshine Home fund raising effort. We collected at one entrance form 9am to 6pm and raised €1899.58. Not bad !
We also had the lucky break on the day that RTE 2fm were hosting a round of their Band Busking competition.' Keywest' were the band on the day - a really good bunch of chaps and their efforts alone raise €700 on the day for us. We got a mention on the Ruth Scott and Paddy Show and were invited up to the RTE studio to watch the band being interviewed.
Many thanks to Muireann Lynch and Brendan Fitzpatrick for their smiling faces and collection efforts on the day.
Our next major collection day is at Frascati Shopping Center Blackrock on Saturday 16th July. Please contact me if you can lend a hand on the day.

4 Provinces in a Classic is launched

The Triumph Classic Owners Club are celebrating the clubs 25th anniversary this year and as part of the celebrations I am organising a drive around Ireland covering the 4 Provinces from Sept 16th - 19th (Friday - Monday inclusive). The total journey will cover 1100 Km (720 Miles approx). The four day weekend drive is intended to raise badly needed funds for The Childrens Sunshine Home - Irelands only Hospice for Terminally ill Children (To put that in perspective - The UK has 42 such Hospices)
The Hospice is in the final stages of completing an extension to their original building but badly needs funds for specialised equipment / final room fitouts etc. As many  enthusiasts will remember we had a similar event 5 years ago (Top to Toe in a Triumph, Sept 2006) and raised €52k for Crumlin Childrens Hospital. Times have changed a bit since then so raising funds is a bigger challenge............but with the TCOC enthusiasm, anything is possible!
